Every town and village will somewhere, be it a park, town hall, church or other public place, have some form
of memorial to its war dead.
This site is about one such memorial. It is a brass plaque that was placed on the second floor of the Rochdale
Police Station Headquarters. It carries the names of 5 members of the Rochdale Borough Police Force who volunteered for active
service during World War II.
Dedicated to the memory of heroes.
